Career Coaching
Conversations to explore your possibilities
Three months of coaching exploration
This coaching programme was created with the belief that we all have something necessary and valuable to offer the world. But many of us have lost connection with what that is.
If we have been conditioned to prioritise more dominant external voices, judgements and advice we may have learnt to let our own voice become silent. And as a consequence lost our courage to trust own own innate knowing.
Courting Courage supports you to re-focus on your inner voice, innate wisdom and knowing, separate to the constant, confusing external noise and chatter.
Through being curious about our protective self-doubt and other fear based stories, we move toward a strength-based narrative that allows for expansion and taking up space in a way that feels necessary for our psyche.
In our first month we re-examine the Who and Why: Who have you become, who are you becoming? We explore your Why: Your values, your lived experiences, your dreams and desires.
In month two we focus on your What: What needs to be nourished, what needs to be let go, what is available, what are potential obstacles (and potential routes around the obstacles), what are you willing to do, and not willing to do, what is already out there waiting for you?
And in month three we explore your How. How are you stepping forward toward your most possible self? How do you find your encouragers? How do you manage judgement in others as you make necessary adjustments and changes? How do you take up your space courageously?

You have an idea that keeps returning, or a yearning that hasn’t yet been articulated.
You keep meaning to put some time aside to focus, explore and plan, but are distracted by the other roles and responsibilities you have.
You feel antsy and ready to create some movement and stretch into some space but need some supportive company as you move into the uncomfortable next steps.
You feel it’s time…
I am an encourager and a motivator.
My belief is that we all need encouragers. The interest, attention, energy and inspiration from the encouragers in our life allows us to believe in ourselves, and be more confident in trying things out. Encouragers help us create an internalized voice that gives us courage, and trusts our abilities.
My coaching provides company on the journey.
We are wired to connect. Having a non-judgemental, supportive person journeying alongside us supports us to manage the discomfort and second-guessing that accompanies anything new.
My lens is one of social justice and the social context.
We live and work within systems, communities, societies. We may not always be living in alignment with these systems and end up needing to suppress parts of ourself to keep going. My coaching explores the parts of us that really need to come up for air—that need to see the light. And we develop safe ways to bring those parts of self into the world.

Why do I need a coach?
You actually don’t need a coach. You are completely capable of doing the research, the readings, and figuring out the steps you need to move toward your desired outcome. In fact, maybe you’ve already done a lot of that, and you may be used to doing it alone.
What you may be searching for is a someone to partner with in a thought provoking and creative process that supports your becoming. I believe we all find courage, motivation and energy in relationships that are non-judgemental, supportive and caring. My coaching is collaborative—we work together to create a map that focuses on what works best for your journey. I meet you where you are, and we work at your pace.
How do I know if this programme is for me?
This programme may be a fit for you if you feel ready to prioritise time and energy to focus on you as much as possible for three months. It may be a good fit for you if you are in transition, ready to explore change that is happening in your life, or when there are endings happening and the next steps seem out of focus.
Coaching does not provide a magic wand, or someone to tell you what you should do. Rather it provides a supportive and encouraging space and opportunity for you to explore you and your own becoming.
If you are feeling in crisis in one or more areas of your life, you may benefit from counselling prior to coaching to support you to feel more grounded.
Do I need therapy instead?
Coaching focuses on growth and development supporting a way of being and doing and showing up in the world claiming your most possible self. Coaching tends to focus more on creating changes through taking action that lead to desired outcomes.
Therapy often incorporates a coaching element, but tends to be used when there is a desire for deeper personal inquiry, or at a time of overwhelm or crisis. It may focus more on managing and developing emotional regulation, and creating an alternative, more self-supportive narrative. In therapy we may be exploring for the first time who we are and what we need.
Both coaching and therapy support developing greater understanding of what keeps you stuck or repeating patterns of thought or behaviour that don’t serve you. Coaching identifies those stuck places, and focuses more on moving through, or around them to reach the desired goals or intentions. Whilst therapy tends to spend more time on understanding the stuck places, where they come from, how they show up.
My coaching flavour works best if you already have some deeper understanding of yourself, and what you desire, and are ready to explore what that change looks like.
How will I know coaching is working for me?
Coaching is a creative partnership between the client and the coach. It requires input, self reflection and leaning into the edges of your zone of comfort. Over time you should begin to notice that you are thinking in a slightly different more helpful way, or you are prepared to do something that a few months ago you would not have considered. You, ideally, will feel less alone, and more supported during the process.
Coaching allows for a gradual process of trying out parts of self, and becoming more fully alive. The process isn’t linear—like life, it may feel like two steps forward, and one step back. At times you may have some significant ahas, and at other times you will probably feel like giving up—and this tends to be where the magic is about to happen. Our coaching together is a collaboration, and you are in the driving seat.
What do I get for my financial investment?
You will receive allocated 1:1 time where we focus solely on you, and what you need. We dive into what makes you You, and how you can plan for more of that!
All coaching begins with a questionnaire for you to prepare for our work together. This supports you to get the most out of our time, and helps me to understand your needs more fully.
You are invited to stay connected via email in-between our sessions whilst we are working together, so you can share your progress.
All coaching ends with a final check in session to see how you are implementing and adapting your plan of action, and to help you clarify ongoing steps.
